My new business cards merged with my attempt at being clever. (image from a new book I’m illustrating)

Lil’ Red revisited. Now with 2x the height.

Little further experimenting with my lil’ red piece from a bit ago. Still a lil’ bit left to finish it too.

An Unexpected Party - the process.

An Unexpected Party - the process.

An Unexpected Party - Final. Took a bit longer than I had planned. But I really enjoyed it. Gandalf’s description in the hobbit was much more colorful too.

After being swamped for a month with work I cannot share yet, I made a a bit more progress. I hope to wrap this up today so that I have prints available for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo in a few weeks.

A few other projects are back in the mix. But here’s Part 5’s progress. We’ll see when we can wrap this thing up.

Part 4. It involved a lot of leaves and rocks.

Part 3. “the road goes ever on”. I’ve been channeling my inner Kinkade.

Part 2 of this process. This isn’t going to be a trilogy.

Starting on a new “unexpected” piece while I’m waiting on revisions on another project. I’ll share the progress on it as it comes together. This is the rough rough rough rough very rough stage. AKA Stage 2.

"Excuse me little girl. Did you say there were cucumbers on those sandwiches?"

Personally, I think Miss Lambeosaurinae is a front runner.

I’ve just finished the first pass at the finals for Tiara Saurus Rex (Bloomsbury) by Brianna Sayers. It’s a really funny book that combines Dinosaurs, a frilly dresses, and a beauty pageant. AKA. Something I had never thought I would have drawn.

Image from my current book project Tiara Saurus Rex. It also just happens to rather accurately depict my memories of gr.7 school dances when the girls all seemed like giants who were also professional dancers that practiced 12 hours a day.

Concept for a story I’ve been working on. Happy New Year everyone!
